The three-day meeting starts on Wednesday, July 13, at 9am (registration opens at 8:30am) and it closes on Friday, July 15, 2016, at 6pm.

Accommodation

Please note that participants are responsible for making their own hotel reservation. Participants are encouraged to make their reservation at Falkensteiner Hotel Bratislava (Ms Simona Kapitančíková: reservations.bratislava@falkensteiner.com) by June 15, 2016, with copy to BCRC-Slovakia (Ms Dana Lapešová: dana.lapesova@sazp.sk). The rate is 83 EUR per night and includes breakfast.

Transportation

From Vienna Airport to Bratislava Bus Terminal (Mlynskenivy)

To travel from Vienna Airport to Bratislava, we recommend taking the eurolines bus in direction of Bratislava, terminal bus station “Mlynskenivy”. The bus stop is in front of the airport and the bus operates hourly. A single ticket costs up to 7.00 EUR, an open return ticket up to 10.00 EUR. The trip to the terminal station in Bratislava (“Mlynskenivy”) takes one hour and is safe. Some buses also stop at a stop called “Most SNP” located under the road bridge over the Danube in Bratislava, which is ten minutes walk from the Falkensteiner Hotel. You may ask the bus driver whether this stop will be served.

From Bratislava Bus Terminal (Mlynskenivy) to Falkensteiner Hotel Bratislava

To travel from Bratislava Bus Terminal “Mlynskenivy” to the Falkensteiner Hotel, you may either take the taxi or use public transport. The taxi fare costs approximately 10.00 EUR. If you wish to use public transport, you need to turn left, once you leave the bus terminal, and walk to the main road, where you find the trolley bus stop “Autobusovastanica”. You need to buy your ticket before the ride either at a kiosk or at the yellow ticket machine (accepts only coins). The ticket costs 0.90 EUR (30 minutes) or 1.20 EUR (1 hour). Please don’t forget to validate your ticket at the ticket validation machine inside the bus. Use trolley bus No. 206 in direction of “NUSCH” or No. 208 in direction of “Šulekova” and get off the bus at the fourth stop called “Hodzovenamestie”. Then, walk back on the sidewalk (ca. 100m) in direction of the TATRA hotel to the  “Chatam Sófer” bus stop, take bus No. 31 or bus No. 39 in direction of “Cintorín Slávičie údolie” and get off at the next stop called “Zochova”, which is right in front of Falkensteiner Hotel Bratislava.

IT services and support

Wireless internet access (wi-fi) is available. Please note that the meeting will be paperless. To facilitate the paperless nature of the meetings, participants are requested to ensure the following:

  • Each participant should bring a laptop computer containing basic applications, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Reader and updated antivirus software.
  • Laptops should be pre-checked for viruses and confirmed as virus-free prior to arrival at the meetings. Virus free laptops are crucial to the success of a paperless meeting.
  • Participants should bring a memory stick that has been pre-checked for viruses for the purpose of transferring documents.
  • Laptops should be configured for a standard wireless (wi-fi) connection. If in doubt, please check with your local information technology expert.
  • Participants should bring an appropriate adaptor to enable laptops to be connected to Slovak power sockets (please see below).
  • When completing the meeting registration form, participants should include a current e-mail address so that they can be sent correspondence relating to the meeting.
