Highlights: The objective of the meeting is to advance the work on the development and updating of Technical Guidelines on specially engineered landfill (D5) and on incineration on land (D10) as per COP 14 decision BC-14/6. The meeting participants include representatives from lead countries (Argentina, Canada and Japan) of the SIWG on technical specially engineered landfill (D5) and incineration on land (D10) and energy recovery (R1). The outcome of the meeting will be submitted for consideration by the twelfth meeting of Open-ended Working Group of the Basel Convention (22 - 25 June 2020, Geneva).
The meeting is hosted by Canada and funding is provided by the Government of Germany
