Country Led Initiative meetings

Process

The CLI was intended to be an informal process. Three meetings were organized to address the following issues:

• 1st meeting (15 – 17 June 2009, in Indonesia): analyzing the problem.
• 2nd meeting (12 – 15 January 2010, in Switzerland): continuation of this analysis and beginning to develop options and solutions.
• 3rd meeting (23 – 28 September 2010 in Switzerland): formulation of recommendations for the COP 10, containing the analysis of the problem and possible solutions, or way forward.

COP10

Based on comments and input from CLI participants, Indonesia and Switzerland prepared a revised draft omnibus decision and explanatory note, which were presented to the tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP10).
