Basel Convention Regional Centre for Training and Technology Transfer for the Arab States, Egypt (BCRC Egypt)

Location: Giza, Egypt

Date of establishment: October 2004 (Framework Agreement). More

By decision BC-III/19 the Conference of the Parties of the Basel Convention in 1995, selected Egypt to host the BCRC for Arabic-speaking countries in Africa and the other Arabic-speaking countries. This resulted to the establishment of BCRC Egypt in 2000 and the Framework Agreement was signed in 2004.Upon its expiry, a new Framework Agreement has been prepared and is under signature by the Parties.
