Guidance on improving national reporting

Following its seventh session, the Implementation and Compliance Committee has adopted a practical guide for the national technical officials responsible for the collection of information for the preparation of the national reports that are to be submitted annually to the Secretariat of the Basel Convention. This document is in the process of being translated in the five other UN languages

Illegal TrafficDirectory

The Implementation and Compliance Committee of the Convention has developed a directory of training institutions which offer courses that can help Parties to deal with cases of illegal traffic under the Convention. Relevant institutions which are interested in being included in the directory are invited to complete the forms (available in English, French and Spanish) and transmit them (saved as MS Word documents) to the Secretariat at SBC@unep.ch
