Highlights: The objective of the meeting is to advance the work on the updating of technical guidelines on persistent organic pollutants as wastes, in accordance with decision BC-17/3. The meeting participants include representatives of the SIWG. The objective of the meeting is to advance the work on the preparation of draft updated technical guidelines on the ESM of wastes consisting of, containing or contaminated with persistent organic pollutants, taking into account the discussions at the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties and comments received from Parties and observers.
