Highlights: The objective of the meeting is to advance the work on the development and updating of the technical guidelines on environmentally sound management of waste lead-acid batteries and other waste batteries as per COP16 decisions BC-16/6. The meeting participants include representatives who are members and observers of the SIWG on waste batteries. The outcome documents of the meeting will be submitted for consideration by the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention (28 April to 9 May 2025, Geneva).
