International Environmental Technology Centre of United Nations Environment Programme

The mandate of the International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC), as agreed in Decision 16/34 of UNEP Governing Council, is the transfer of environmentally sound technologies (EST) to developing countries and countries with economies in transition. 

IETC works with developing countries to implement sustainable solutions to environmental challenges, with focus on holistic waste management. More

IETC is a member of the Partnership for Action on Computing Equipment (PACE). PACE is a multi-stakeholder public-private partnership that provides a forum for representatives of personal computer manufacturers, recyclers, international organizations, associations, academia, environmental groups and governments to tackle environmentally sound refurbishment, repair, material recovery, recycling and disposal of used and end-of-life computing equipment.
