Invitation for comments on the further activities related to a plastic waste under the Basel Convention

During its fourteenth meeting, held from 25 to 28 June 2024 in Geneva, the Open-ended Working Group of the Basel Convention (BC OEWG-14) considered further activities under the Basel Convention in response to developments in scientific knowledge, environmental information, and the health impacts of plastic waste (UNEP/CHW/OEWG.14/7).

OEWG-14 invited Parties and observers to submit comments on the further activities outlined in documents UNEP/CHW/OEWG.14/INF/15/Rev.1 to the Secretariat by 31 December 2024, for consideration at the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties from 28 April to 9 May 2025. The submissions are compiled and made available on this page.
