I. Introduction

1. At its sixteenth meeting, the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal agreed to hold the fourteenth meeting of the Open-ended Working Group (OEWG-14) in Geneva, in the week commencing 24 June 2024.
